My name is Allison Black and I was born and raised in South Florida. Yes, a true Floridian. Note the freckles and lack of tan. I have a BA in Music from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL. I had a relatively normal life until I discovered improvisation and everything changed. For nearly 18 years now, I have been an actor and improvisor performing in Chicago on stage, in the sound booth, in commercials and film.
My focus, whether as an actor on stage, as a voice over artist or as a human being on this planet, is to do work that matters, touches people, and strives to connect us more deeply to one another.
And to laugh. Because, in this world, you gotta laugh.
I work on stage, screen and in the VO booth. Please see my resumé section for details of my experience and skills and check out my reel and VO demos.
Representation (On-camera, Print, Commercial VO)
I am exclusively represented by Lily's Talent Agency and my on-camera and VO agent is Oliver Al.

Ongoing: I am voicing narration projects for a variety of fortune 500 companies.
Dance
The National Tap Appreciation Day show at Old Town School of Folk Music will be on June 9, 2024. 2023's show was a huge success and getting to meet and dance with Arthur44 Duncan was an amazing opportunity! 2023’s Nut Tapper was great and I again reprised the fun-loving side-kick, Elf.
